In the near decade since Kern joined Chatham, he’s served in several roles and functions in the practice, most recently leading Chatham’s European Hedge Accounting team. Prior to joining Chatham, Kern held accounting and audit positions at Barclays, Smith & Williamson, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Arram Berlyn Gardner. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Warwick in Politics and Sociology. Kern has represented Chatham on a number of working groups during his tenure including the ISDA European Accounting Working Group, the ECB accounting sub-group, and the Accounting Taskforce supporting the Bank of England Working Group on Sterling Risk-Free Reference Rates. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, recently appointed to the organization’s Corporate Reporting Faculty Board.
