About Andrew

Andrew Shears is a Director on Chatham’s Financial Institutions Accounting Advisory team, providing technical accounting resources and assists consultants across Chatham’s accounting practice to manage clients’ financial risks through derivatives and hedging activities. He also advises clients on customer hedging needs with a focus on the application of U.S. GAAP reporting standards relating to the accounting and valuation of interest rate derivatives. He directs these services for Chatham's financial institution sector, specializing in commercial banks, savings and loan associations, savings banks, and credit unions.

Prior to joining Chatham, Andrew was a senior manager of regulatory reporting and SEC reporting at Capital One. Andrew is a licensed CPA and a member of the AICPA. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from West Virginia University and his M.B.A. from the University of Delaware.
