About Marcus
Marcus Clements is a Director on Chatham’s Private Equity Hedging and Capital Markets team. This team assists clients with interest rate hedging analysis, structuring, and execution. He advises a broad range of domestic and global clients, including private equity firms, infrastructure, real estate, superannuation/pension and sovereign wealth funds, in addition to ASX200 corporates, on strategies to mitigate and optimize financial risk exposure.
Prior to joining Chatham in 2021, Marcus spent 14 years at Commonwealth Bank of Australia in various derivative-focused roles in London and Sydney, the longest of which was price-making and managing the bank’s FX option risk.
Marcus assists with all stages of hedging, from initial risk analysis and strategy formulation, to policies, ISDA, other legal documentation, and negotiation with counterparties, execution, and ongoing post-trade support. He brings a unique perspective, given his direct experience both advising on and directly managing financial risk exposures.
