About Rob
Rob Barton is a Director on Chatham’s Global Real Estate Accounting Advisory team, advising global real estate clients on properly structuring and documenting their derivative and hedging activities for optimal economic and financial reporting outcomes.
Prior to Chatham, Rob worked for KPMG Advisory in Chicago in their transactions and restructurings group, where he focused on IPOs and M&A activity from a technical accounting perspective. He also spent one year with KPMG’s national office in New York. He was also a post-graduate technical assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in Norwalk, Connecticut where he focused on a variety of technical accounting issues.
Rob is a CPA and a member of the AICPA. He graduated with honors from BYU with his bachelor's degree and master of accountancy.
