About Scott
Scott Simonton brings 15 years of experience in derivatives and private capital risk management to serve Chatham’s clients globally. Prior to joining Chatham, Scott was at Brookfield Asset Management, where he oversaw interest rate and currency risk management for a $550 billion private investment portfolio.
Scott’s experience spans multiple sectors including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, renewables, real estate, and corporates. He has supported these sectors through deal-level events, fund-level risk management, and ALM. Prior to Brookfield, Scott traded interest rate derivatives for Barclays Capital, where he made markets in USD interest rate swaps for corporate and institutional clients.
Scott earned both his bachelor’s degree in journalism and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently serves on the Alumni Council for the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
