About Shazia
Shazia Khurshid is a Director on Chatham’s Financial Institutions Accounting Advisory team, supporting clients in setting up the accounting for back-to-back borrower swap programs and balance sheet risk management strategies. She also advises customer hedging needs with a focus on the application of U.S. GAAP reporting standards relating to the accounting and valuation of interest rate derivatives. She directs these services for Chatham's Financial Institution sector, specializing in commercial banks, savings and loan associations, savings banks, and credit unions.
Prior to joining Chatham in 2004, Shazia worked at Fannie Mae, Deloitte and Morgan Stanley. Shazia is a licensed CPA, a CGMA, and a member of the AICPA. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Hunter College.
